Sustainability at Najd Fertilizers is not marketing language — it is the reason the project exists. By producing locally, we plan to reduce shipping emissions, cut import dependency and build agricultural resilience for the Sultanate.
Import substitution
Every tonne planned for local production is a tonne that would otherwise travel by container ship. Once operational, our Phase 1 capacity is intended to contribute directly to reducing Oman's reliance on imported compound NPK.
Vision 2040 alignment
The project is planned to directly support Oman Vision 2040 food-security priorities by strengthening the local input supply chain.
Local employment
Our staffing plan includes direct roles at the Sohar facility, with an Omanization target set in line with the regulated requirement for our industry classification.
Circular practices
Our planned organic line will incorporate local agricultural residues — including date-palm biomass — turning waste streams into productive soil amendments.
